Main Canaan is the Regional General Manager for Commercial Aircraft Engines in the Middle East for GE Aerospace. In his 23 years with GE Aerospace, he has held multiple leadership roles, including Services Engineering, Customer & Product Support and Sales. Prior to his time with GE, Main worked with airlines and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul organizations in engineering and flight operations across North and South America. He is an ex-US Navy officer, having served in Intelligence and Special Duties. Main is a graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) in Florida with a BS in Aeronautical Engineering and he also holds Aircraft and Powerplant and Pilot Licenses. He also holds an MBA and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami, USA, and has a Master’s degree in Aviation Sustainability from ERAU. Main is originally from Jordan and speaks fluent Arabic. He lives in Dubai with his wife Suhair and daughter Alya. Outside of work, he enjoys learning about recent history through both books and film, traveling with family, and tolerates going to the gym as much as possible.
