Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer
Richard Welford joined Tata Technologies in 2005 and is the Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer. Previously President of EU Global Solutions and Strategic Business Unit at Tata Technologies, Richard currently leads the company’s global marketing activities and corporate strategy. As such, Richard is responsible for the definition and evolution of the Tata Technologies value proposition worldwide.
With over 29 years’ industry experience, 11 of which at Tata Technologies, Richard has led the European organisation through a substantial restructuring and growth period while overseeing the Strategic Business Units.
Richard started his career as a Technical Apprentice with Jaguar Cars before being selected to do a full time sponsored degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Coventry. Previous experience includes various Engineering and Engineering leadership roles at Jaguar Cars, Research and Development Director at Autoliv North America, and Chief Strategy Officer of Tata Technologies.
Richard is a regular speaker at industry events around the world, including the Confederation of British Industry, the Construction Equipment Association, and most recently in November 2015 at the NASSCOM Engineering Summit in India.
