Chief Executive Officer
Dane Kondić has more than 25 years of international experience in the travel industry, with success in top level sales, marketing, key customer management, strategic planning and change management. His experience has been gained within major international airlines, as well as in the agency, wholesale and content segments of the travel business.
Following the 2013 acquisition by Etihad Airways of a 49 per cent stake in Serbia’s national airline, Mr Kondić was appointed by the Republic of Serbia to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Air Serbia. During this time the airline has prospered under its new brand, reporting a 2014 net profit of €2.7 million ($3 million), a complete turnaround from its 2013 €73 million net loss.
Mr Kondić began his career with Qantas Airways in Sydney, Australia. He joined Air Serbia from the position of Regional Director, South East Asia, for Sabre Airline Solutions, where he was responsible for strategic management, leading a team of key account managers. Prior to that, Mr Kondić was Vice President Commercial at Abacus International, the Asian based GDS, now owned by Sabre Inc.
Also in Asia, Mr Kondić held the positions of Vice President North Asia for GTA by Travelport, Managing Director Kuoni Travel China Ltd., and General Manager of Worldwide Sales for Malaysia Airlines.
